Led Zeppelin: 1975-03-25 Inglewood, CA (FLAC_AUD 1st Gen_3 CD)

This may be the best Mike Millard recording out of all of the many he made of Led Zeppelin shows!  Thirty-nine years ago (and a few extra hours now), this show rocked the Los Angeles area.

I have a few other label's versions of this show and they all are pretty much superb + in quality.  Some labels over EQ'ed the show, did this, did that, etc as they usually do.  But even so, they all still sound great.  But why take what some other person or label did to the show and share that when the best sounding source is the unaltered and unmarked 1st generation copy.  And that's what I'm uploading here.  It sounds like a soundboard it is so good and clean.

These 1st generation Millard masters were first digitally transferred in May of 2010.  All previous versions of this show were likely analog transfers done by labels and probably friends of Mike's that he had made marked copies of his shows for.

Mike Millard reportedly kept a notebook of how he marked each tape he passed out to friends so if they ever showed up being sold by a label, or by anyone for that matter, he could tell where it came from.  He might make a slight volume adjustment for a second in a certain spot of a song on one tape, do something slightly different to another tape's audio, etc before he passed them out to friends.  He never ruined a show's recording or did anything to destroy the show or audio on his recordings.  He just tried to make it where if someone did break their word he could tell who it was.  But as we all know, his efforts to do this were in vain because his tapes, from a variety of sources, all seemed to eventually make their way to the Empress Valley Supreme Disc's, Godfather Records', etc labels through the years.

But what is unique about this set of 1st generation Millard tapes that were transferred unaltered by JEMS in 2010 is they are unmarked tapes!  No volume fluctuations, no marks whatsoever; just a copy of the master tapes is what we have here and one that is a digital transfer at that.  In short, we have the best (well, second best since his family still has the masters likely).

I left the file set just as it was shared back in 2010.  The songs are titled, there is no artwork, there is a file fingerprint (ffp) file, and there is a short text file with lineage information and some of what I have said here in this post.  I added nothing and took nothing away (other than hours of listening enjoyment).

I love this show and I know you will too if you like Led Zeppelin...
